Runner's Edge of the Rockies

The Good Stuff

We offer year-round training and our membership includes beginners, 50-staters, triathletes, executives, teachers, moms, professionals, and pretty much anyone else you could think of. Sign up as a member for one of our sessions and here's what awaits you:

  • Professional coaching by Runner's Edge of the Rockies founders and seasoned runners David and Julie Manthey (we're talking Pikes Peak round-tripper, Big Sur marathoner, you get the idea)
  • Detailed training manual including pace charts, mental prep tips, etc.
  • Customized daily training schedules specific to your race and goals (finishing any half or full marathon, setting a PR, qualifying for Boston, or even running a nice little ultramarathon)
  • Diverse, clearly mapped, Saturday morning group training runs all over the Denver area. With more than 50 routes you'll discover parks, neighborhoods, and trails that you never knew were in our great city!
  • A variety of pace groups with seasoned Pace Group Leaders (13-minute milers, speedy Boston bounders and everyone in between)
  • Aid stations fully stocked with water and Gatorade every 2 miles along the route. Sometimes you'll even get spoiled with pretzels and Gummy Bears too.
  • Race-specific training schedule (when to amp it up, when to cross-train, when to take a rest)
  • Member discounts at local running stores (think shoes)
  • Weekly training tips and guest speakers covering everything from how to strategically pace a 20-miler to how to avoid suffering a nasty blister.
  • Optional weekly speed workouts and core strength training workouts to supplement your training
  • Social events with fellow members (happy hours, post-race get togethers)
  • Password for access to the Members Only area of our website. You can participate in lively discussions and have access to other resources that will enhance your running.

If you're game for improving your distance running, pick any Saturday to check us out for a complimentary run. You'll know before you hit the first aid station at Mile 2 why so many alumni members return session after session!
