Runner's Edge of the Rockies

PACE GROUP LEADER
4:45 PLUS RUNNERS
Dena Curry

As an inaugural member having joined the group in 2003, Dena Curry is Runner's Edge's greatest cheerleader. She is undoubtably one of our most supportive, positive, and upbeat members, so perfectly appropriate to be pace group leader of the 4:45s. She proudly claims that her group has the most fun of all of the pace groups!

Dena points to her role as pacer as serving herself as much as it does the group. "Being pace group leader is really inspiring for me--I meet new people with their own personal goals and I find it really gratifying to be there for them, cheer them on and support them: an awesome group of folks!!!!"

Dena has completed 4 half marathons, 1 mini, and 1 full with RER. She cites the support she received from fellow Runner's Edgers all along the course at her first full marathon at Boulder Backroads to be her favorite RER moment. Particularly memorable was when Coach David biked out 2 miles from the finish line to psych her up and run it in.

Outside of her running shoes Dena is a real estate agent for the Federal Government. She also loves hiking, traveling globally, learning other languages, drinking wine, and exploring hippy-dippy things like tie-dye, making candles, soaps, and beaded jewelry.
